Muhammad Ali Quaid, Special assistant to Chief Minister G-B on Information Technology

Gilgit (PR): Special Assistant to chief minister G-B on Information Technology Muhammad Ali Quaid has condemned the notification issued by the federal ministry of Interior regarding the security of the governor and chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.

In a statement issued to media on Sunday, he has termed the notification as malicious and an attempt to create hatred between Gilgit-Baltistan and the federation.

He has said Gilgit-Baltistan is a geographically sensitive and special region. Given the geo-strategic sensitivity attached with Gilgit-Baltistan, the state cannot afford unwanted actions like this notification.

According to Muhammad Ali, the notification has led to rise of a new wave of concern among G-B people. It has also strengthened the position of nationalist forces in Gilgit-Baltistan. They can ask how could G-B tolerate federal forces if the federation cannot tolerate only 15 police security personnel deployed on chief minister’s security.

Muhammad Ali Quaid has demanded the federal ministry of Interior to immediately withdraw its notification regarding police security of chief minister and governor of Gilgit-Baltistan.

He also demanded the federal government to apologize to the people of G-B for hurting the special status of their region, creating hatred between the federation and the province. Similarly, action has been demanded against those who prepared the conspiracy, he further added.
