Ghizer (Correspondent): Secretary Information Technology Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Zameer Abbas visited the under construction building of IT park (software technology park) in district headquarters Ghakuch.
Secretary IT G-B expressed his satisfaction over the quality and pace of work on the project.
Government is providing internet facility and taking initiative such as start ups to make G-B the hub of information technology.
He further said that the G-B government has taken steps to provide access to latest art and new knowledge. These new interventions will have far reaching impact in the region, said the secretary IT G-B.
Zameer Abbas further said that as per he vision of Chief Minister G-B, the government is taking steps to access to modern arts and sciences with the help of internet and start-ups in all districts are very important. The district administration has taken concrete measures to complete the project timely for which the Deputy commissioner and his team’s efforts are commendable, stated Zameer Abbas.
The officials of the technology park Gahkuch thanked the secretary IT for providing uninterrupted electricity and other facilities to start-up companies.
The secretary was briefed that the work on the state-of-the-art building project would be completed soon with support of district administration, officials of water and power and other stakeholders.
Opportunities will be provided for capacity building for the professional practitioners and young people of the region.
Those present on the ocaasion included Deputy Director of Information Technology Ehsan Karim, GIS Specialist Sadaf, Junaid along with Assistant Director of Information Department Gilgit Baltistan Salim Khan and other officials were also present on this occasion.
