Karachi (Representative): Jalib Mela will be held in the last week of the current month at the Karachi Press Club. Dr. Taimoorur Rahman of Lal band and artist Sheema Kirmani will perform in the mela.
A meeting of Friends of Habib Jalib was held at the Karachi press club on Saturday regarding the Jalib Mela in which the preparations in connection with the mela were discussed.
According to Dr. Asghar Dashti, an important member of ‘Ahbab Habib Jalib’ the Jalib Mela will be held on February 26 at 3:30 PM at the Karachi Press Club.
Former Chairman Raza Rabbani, Afrasiab Khattak, former Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Malik Baloch, chairman of Urdu department, Federal Urdu University Karachi Dr. Yasmin Sultana, revolutionary leader Nasir Mansoor, Dr. Asghar Dashti, and others will address the revolutionary poetry of Habib Jalib in the festival.
Pakistan’s famous kathak dancer Sheema Kirmani will perform theater on Habib Jalib’s poem whereas young education activist Maheen Wahid will present a tableau on a poem of Habib Jalib.
Moreover, Dr. Taimoorur-ur-Rahman of Lahore’s revolutionary and famous musical band will perform at the festival.
