Gilgit (PR): In a letter issued on Saturday, the federal ministry of interior has directed the chief minister and Governor Gilgit-Baltistan (G-b) to avoid carrying any kind of police security with them while they are visiting any other region of Pakistan.
According to the letter, security to the chief minister and governor of Gilgit-Baltistan will be provided by the federal government or the province they are visiting.
According to the sources, the federal government has imposed this ban to avoid any kind of potential clash as evidenced in last few weeks because of presence of the chief minister Khalid Khursheed’s security in Zaman Park.
