Career Fest 2023 in Skardu Prominent Figures Engage Students in Educational Insights and Opportunities

Skardu (PR): Career Fest 2023 Skardu formally kicked off on Friday at Government Degree College Skardu.

Senior Scientist Dr. Amjad from SPARCO, Rahat Abbasi representing Teach for Pakistan, Joint Director SECP Murtaza Abbas, Vice Chancellor National Skills University Islamabad Dr. Mukhtar and other prominent academicians and professional figures attended the opening ceremony.

During the event, they interacted with students and discussed about future trends and prospects of different academic disciplines. They shared valuable insights from their own professional experiences.

On the first day of three-day educational festival, numerous educational, corporate, and professional institutions established their stalls.

Public representatives and government officials including Education Minister GB Ghullam Shehzad Agha and Chief Secretary GB Muhyiddin Ahmad Wani also attended the opening ceremony, visited different stalls and interacted with students.

Education Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Ghulam Shehzad Agha extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, educators, and scholars form different universities across the country at the Career Fest 2023.

He said the GB government, with a focus on emerging trends, aims to offer additional opportunities for students to select careers that align with their abilities and passions.

While talking to media, the Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani said GB government is doing everything to advance the cause of quality education in the region. He expressed the government’s dedication to providing modern and quality education to the youth of the region at their doorsteps.

He said that in alignment with modern educational trends in education, the government is providing career counselling facilities, utilizing all available resources. The Career Fest 2024 will take place in the Diamer district, further added Chief Secretary GB.
