Adeena Khan, the nambardar-e-aala of Sherqilla, the largest village of Ghizer District of Gilgit-Baltistan has died today at 93. He was suffering from heart and liver problems.
Adeena Khan was the father of Murtaza Khan, former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member Legislative Council Northern Areas from Ghizar district during the 1990s.
Adeena Khan was known for his role in maintaining and promoting peace, cooperation, and unity both in the village and beyond.
According to the people of Sherqilla, he was a humble, soft-spoken, socially intelligent, and politically sagacious personality.
Adeena has left behind three sons and three daughters. According to the family sources, he will be laid to rest today at 01:00 PM at Rahimabad, Sherqilla.
