Gilgit (PR): A ten-day training course for secondary teachers has been initiated in Baltistan on the directives of Secretary School Education Rahman Shah. The inauguration ceremony of the training course took place in Gilgit city on Tuesday.
The aim of this training program is to equip high school students with essential skills across subjects and ensure the implementation of SLO (Student Learning Outcomes) based learning.
Teachers of Urdu, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from four districts of Baltistan region. A total of 612 government, non-government, and community teachers will participate in the training program.
To ensure quality of the training, two subject specialists and experienced teachers have been arranged for each subject. A total of 47 subject specialists will be involved in the ten-day training program, dedicated to aligning the National Curriculum 2006 standards and skills.
It is pertinent to note that the same course has already been initiated in the rest of the parts of Gilgit-Baltistan. Now with the official inauguration of the workshop, with the training program for Baltistan region has started officially.
It is hoped the subject teachers attain proficiency and skills in the designated National Curriculum 2006 standards. Similarly, they will also collaboratively create a comprehensive plan to implement the standards and compile an SLO-based item bank for all schools.
While addressing the the launch of ten-day training program, the Director Education Gilgit-Baltistan, Zulfikar Ali, along with Deputy Directors from all districts and other administrative officers of the Education Department, reaffirmed their commitment to work tirelessly to ensure the success and effectiveness of this program.
The participants pledged that they would leave no stone unturned to nurture high educational standards and promote creative abilities among students without any compromise,
