Astore (PR): A road accident in Astore district of Gilgit-Baltistan left several people injured on Monday.
According to the Deputy Commissioner’s office Astore, a passenger vehicle carrying 17 passengers met an accident near Chilam Chowki in the upper area of Astor district.
Out of 17 passengers, 13 sustained injuries. Upon receiving the message of the accident, Pakistan army personnel, the local police, and people immediately shifted the injured to Chilam Civil Hospital.
According to the hospital and police sources, injuries are minor and the condition of the injured is out of danger.
An emergency was imposed in the district headquarters hospital and doctors and paramedical staff were alerted on the directives of deputy commissioner Astore.
Deputy Commissioner Astore also visited the injured at the hospital and inquired about their health. He also directed the hospital staff to provide the best treatment.
