Gilgit (C.R Akbar Shah): Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) elected Sadia Danish as its Deputy Speaker unopposed.
Sadia Danish contested the election deputy speaker on behalf of People’s Party and Forward Block.
The Hamkhayal (like-minded) group boycotted the session and did not submit papers to participate in the election.
It is pertinent to note that in the parliamentary history of Gilgit-Baltistan, Sadia Danish has the honor of becoming the first female deputy speaker of GBLA.
