International students can apply online for the fully-funded Italy scholarships 2022-2023 batch, which will allow them to study for free at any of Italy’s finest universities.
Italy is one of Europe’s most sought-after study locations. It’s also the most popular destination for Erasmus students. Additional reasons to study in Italy include the architecture, landscape, and, of course, the food. Italy is the most competitive country in Western Europe in terms of educational attainment. The institutions themselves are works of art, and the educational system employs non-traditional teaching approaches to prepare students for the demands of the workplace.
Programs offered by Fully Funded Italy Scholarships 2022
Italy offers degree programmes in both English and Italian. Traditionally, Italian was the language of instruction in Italian educational institutions. However, in recent years, the majority of higher educational institutions have begun to educate in English in addition to Italian. Courses are available in both Italian and English at the universities. Students must demonstrate language proficiency in the language they wish to study.
Students studying in English must also demonstrate their ability to communicate in Italian at some time throughout their studies. This prepares them for their working life in Italy by allowing them to engage with others.
Do you have the ability to work in Italy while on a student VISA?
European Union students, like Italian students, are permitted to work full-time. Students from outside the EU are only allowed to work 20 hours a week part-time (not exceeding 4 hours a day). Students may require a strong command of the Italian language in order to find work after school.
Living Expenses for Students in Italy: The cost of living in Italy for a single individual is approximately 1500 Euros. Italy is slightly less expensive than the majority of Western European countries. This cost may fluctuate based on the area or city where you choose to live.

Italy Scholarships in the years 2022-2023
Scholarships and grants are awarded to students at nearly every Italian university. Public universities make up the majority of higher education institutions. Universities, the government, and private contributors all contribute to the scholarship fund. Here are a few examples:
#1 Italian Government Scholarships
Each year, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) awards Italian scholarships to international students. The recipients are free to study at any Italian university. Undergraduate studies, music, dance, Italian language, arts, and culture courses, and supervised Ph.D. programmes are all eligible for these funds.
The scholarship includes tuition and enrollment fee waivers, health, medical, and accidental insurance, and a monthly stipend of 900 Euros. The scholarship is for a maximum of nine months.
#2 Politecnico de Milano
Every year, the Politecnico de Milano awards merit-based scholarships to outstanding students. Students must pass a language exam before being eligible for the award. Only the first two semesters of study are covered by the scholarship. Merit-based scholarships are divided into three types:
#3 Platinum Scholarship
The Platinum Scholarship provides students with a monetary award of 10,000 Euros as well as a tuition fee relief. The scholarship recipient is just required to pay a 200-euro administrative fee.
Gold: The Gold programme provides a 5000 Euro stipend per year as well as a tuition fee remission. The scholarship recipient receives the money in two or three payments over the course of a year.
Silver: This plan simply includes a tuition cost waiver. The candidate will be responsible for all living expenses incurred by the student. He or she will also be responsible for the administrative fee.
#4 University of Bologna Scholarships
The University of Bologna offers merit-based tuition waivers and study grants/stipends to overseas students enrolled in first, second, and single-cycle programmes. Students in first- and single-cycle programmes will receive about 5 awards. The rewards consist of a 16,000 Euro tuition price waiver and an 11,000 Euro study grant.
Second-cycle degree students will get 17 rewards, including a tuition price relief of up to 100,000 Euros and a study grant of roughly 11,000 Euros. These scholarships are only available to overseas students who had their previous education outside of Italy.
#5 University of Padua Scholarships
Each year, the University of Padua awards approximately 100 scholarships to refugees. The scholarship includes a tuition price remission as well as free on-campus housing, food in the university cafeteria, and other services for students.
Engineering, IT, Economics, and Management Sciences are just a few of the sectors where international students can apply for a scholarship. The scholarship runs for a year and provides a monthly stipend of 900 Euros. The stipend can be used to pay for living and educational expenses. If the student achieves certain conditions in the terminal examination results, the scholarship might be extended to the second year of the master’s programme.
#6 Scuola Normale Superiore Scholarships
Scuola Normale Superiore Scholarships for Ph.D. studies are available in data science, molecular sciences, philosophy, mathematics, political science, sociology, classics, and mathematics, among other subjects. The 68 scholarships are available to both domestic and international students.
The scholarship includes a tuition cost waiver, as well as an exemption from paying board and lodging fees. Students will also receive funding to do research both locally and internationally.
#7 Bocconi University Awards
The Bocconi University offers merit-based scholarships to international students at the bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The university waives up to 12,000 Euros in tuition fees for bachelor’s students each year. The grant is worth 13,000 Euros each year for master’s students. Accommodation may be provided for free to a select group of students.
The grantees will automatically be considered for renewal for the second year if they meet specific requirements at the end of their first year of receiving the scholarship.
