Islamabad (PR): Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Assembly Nazir Ahmed Advocate called upon the Speaker National Assembly (NA) Raja Pervez Ashraf on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both the Speakers discussed legislative matters and other significant areas of mutual interest.
While speaking on the occasion, the Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf emphasized creating political stability in the country for economic development.
Pakistan National Assembly serves as a representative assembly of the entire Nation, said Raja Pervez Ashraf. He said the National Assembly is committed to provide all possible support to the G-B Legislative Assembly regarding law making.
He also assured Speaker G-B assembly all possible support from Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) in Law making.
He further said Gilgit-Baltistan is the center of international attention in terms of tourism. He emphasized the need to utilize the natural resources of the region and its beauty for the development of local people.
He also emphasized that Promotion of tourism is very important for the economic development of any country and we need to pay special attention to the promotion of tourism, said the Speaker NA.
He further said G-B is the center of international attention as a prime tourism destination. There is a need to utilize the region’s natural resources and stunning landscapes to benefit the local population, emphasized the Speaker National Assembly.
Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Nazir Ahmed expressed his gratitude to Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf for his positive remarks and pledge to facilitate G-B assembly in legislation and capacity development of its staff through (PIPS).
