G-B government and Telecom Foundation sign MoU to collaborate in the fields of smart education

Islamabad (PR): The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Telecom Foundation Pakistan (TFP). According to the MoU, the Telecom Foundation Pakistan will work in the areas of smart digital education, smart waste management, and smart street management in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per the MoU, the telecom foundation Pakistan will provide internship opportunities for the selected students from across Gilgit-Baltistan. Additionally, the TFP will also provide training to selected teachers of Gilgit-Baltistan to impart smart digital education.

According to the MoU, a collaboration between the G-B government and the Telecom Foundation Pakistan will continue for a period of three years.

The MoU was signed by Deputy Secretary I&C G-B Ahmed Khan on behalf of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and General Manager Telecom Atifa Ahsan on behalf of the Telecom Foundation in the presence of Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan.

 Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid Khan while addressing the ceremony expressed his satisfaction and hope that the activities started for the transformation of smart schools will have a great impact.
