Gilgit (PR): In his speech as chief guest at a seminar, the chief secretary Gilgit-Baltitsan (G-B) Muhyuddin Ahmad Wani said National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) university will conduct courses on AI (artificial intelligence) and data science in G-B from April this year.
The seminar was organized by the the divisional and district administration Skardu on promotion of above mentioned areas of education in Gilgit-Baltistan at Anchan Campus, Univesity of Baltistan.
A detailed presentation about the importance and usefulness of the said courses was given for children studying in schools, colleges, university, cadet college and private school network of Baltistan.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief secretary Gilgit-Baltistan said that NUST is coming here from April to conduct courses for students and the regular course will start from April 1. Students should submit their applications by March 10 and the test will be held on March 15.
Artificial intelligence, data science and block chain courses are worth more than the value of the graduation degree as it will open new vistas of employment opportunities.

He said the value of these courses is more important than the graduation degree. After completion of the said courses more employment opportunities will be available. These courses have value not only in Pakistan but young people with expertise in these areas have high demand in multinational companies.
He said that the government has introduced reforms in education, health, policy, waste management and price app. While doing this all the public interest has been kept in front so that the people get direct benefit from it.
Addressing the students, he advised students to take these ideas and move forward, and God willing, the students of Gilgit-Baltistan all over Pakistan will advance in the field of education and many things in one year.
