Chief secretary G-B issues orders to remove special power lines to government officials

Gilgit (Staff reporter): Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani has directed power department G-B to remove special power lines to all government offices including the chief secretary office and home.

According to the chief secretary’s directions, electricity will be supplied to hospitals, mosques, schools and government offices during official hours only.

According to chief secretary G-B, the people of G-B are facing 18-20 hours of load shedding. It would be unfair to provide 24 hours power to residences of government officials.

While issuing these orders, the chief secretary G-B emphasized equal sharing of burden of power crisis by the government employees vis a vis common people. Only then overall governance structure may be improved, noted chief secretary.
