“Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan Warns Against Unnecessary Litigation in Employee Regularization Case”

Gilgit (Court reporter): Hon’ble Chief Justice Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan heard an application filed by the provincial government on court’s previous order in connection with regularization of employees of Department of Forest and Wildlife.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit-Baltistan Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan expressed his displeasure.

Chief Justice asked why the court’s ruling was being misconstrued as an obligation for the department to hire temporary employees under any circumstance. So why not action be taken against the concerned legal officer concerned for filing an unwarranted application?

Moreover, Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan Sahib also gave a warning to the Deputy Advocate General in this regard and ordered him not to waste the time of the Hon’ble Court by filing such unnecessary cases in the future as well.

The Chief Justice ordered Deputy Advocate General to avoid unnecessary litigation before the Hon’ble Court. The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of the Court’s time, which is dedicated to delivering judgments on important cases of public importance.

During the hearing, an order was issued to send copies of the judgment in this case to the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Secretary of the Law Department, and the Secretary of the Forestry and Wildlife Department to ensure that unnecessary legal litigation in the future.
