Gilgit (PR) Addressing a Friday prayer congregation in Jutial Gilgit, Amir Jamat Islami Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Maulana Abdul Sami emphasized demonstrating responsibility in fostering sectarian harmony in the region.
He said sectarianism caused a deep division among the people in Gilgit-Baltistan. We need to get lessons from the past and adopt a policy of coexistence, stressed Maulana Abdul Sami.
Highlighting the region’s sensitivity, he noted Gilgit-Baltistan’s sensitivity is further increased due to the passage of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through its territory.
Maulana Abdul Sami called upon the government to establish its authority to maintain law and order by taking stringent actions against those who take law into hands.
He further said the Jamiat-e-Islami G-B has championed peace and security, which it will continue in the future too. Maulana urged all stakeholders in society to unite their voices for peace and progress.
