Aerial firing, display of weapons and fire crackers banned in Gilgit under section 144

Gilgit (Press note): Gilgit Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate Gilgit Captain (Rtd) Usama Majid Cheema has said that strict legal action will be taken against those found in aerial firing on chandrat in Gilgit district.

According to statement issued from DC office, section 144 has been imposed on display of all types of weapons, aerial firing and firecrackers in Gilgit district at the beginning of Ramadan.

The ban is imposed under under PC.1898 to protect human life and property and maintain law and order in the area.

Deputy Commissioner Gilgit has appealed to the public to identify those guilty of violating this order and support the administration in maintaining law and order.

DC Gilgit has also issued instructions the law enforcement officials to take strict legal action against those violating Section 144 .
