Women Leaders of PPP appreciate efforts to enhance linkages between AJK and G-B

Gilgit (PR): The senior leader of People’s Party Azad Kashmir Ms. Maria Iqbal Tarana met the former provincial minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Sobia J ​​Muqaddam at her residence in Gilgit city.

Ms. Maria was welcomed and received by Sobia Muqadam as the former arrived in Gilgit city by traveling in the recently inaugurated Gilgit-Muzaffarabad bus.

Both leaders declared the start of bus service between the capitals of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the Gilgit-Baltistan historic initiative.

They hoped the bus service will be the first step in the restoration of historic ties between the two important parts of Kashmir state.

The two leaders also appreciated the allocation of land for GB House and Kashmir House in Muzaffarabad and Gilgit city respectively. They also hailed efforts for the construction of a 12.6 km shunter tunnel which will connect the Neelum valley of AJK with the Astore district of Gilgit-Baltistan.

They emphasized taking serious steps to enhance relations to reduce the distance between the people of G-B and AJK. The two regions will jointly play a meaningful role in the freedom of Occupied Kashmir and its development.

They demanded the government in GB and AJK increase the number of seats in professional Colleges and arrange scholarships for deserving and talented students.
