According to sources, the last installment of the budget 2021-22 has been returned to the federal government as the fund was not utilized in the stipulated time.
The lapse of funds and its return to the federation reflects the incompetence and non-serious behavior of the GB government. Had the GB government used it in time, the fund could have been used in the completion of development projects in the region.
The lapsed amount could be used to pay the bills of contractors to expedite the under-construction projects which are being completed at a snail’s pace due to a lack of funds.
Talking to Ibex Times, people belonging to different walks of life expressed their disappointment and criticized the current GB government for its failure in proper utilization of allocated funds.
