Gilgit (Akbar Shah): Secretary, Water and Power Department G-B, Zafar Waqar Taj dismissed three employees including a sub-engineer and suspended two employees for negligence in professional duties.
According to sources privy to this development in G-B PWD, the dismissed employees were found to have committed gross professional negligence in the execution of their work and for their failure in meeting the recovery target given to them.
According to the sources, more dismissal will follow if other employees are also found professional negligence. Such employees would be sorted out for their dismissal and suspension with G-B PWD.
It should be noted that GBPWD has launched a crackdown against defaulters and illegal connections throughout Gilgit-Baltistan. The question is will GBPWD take any action against government institutions that owe millions of dues?
