Gilgit (correspondent): In a press conference on Thursday at his chamber in Gilgit city, the opposition Leader G-B Assembly Amjad Hussain Advocate said if there is an attempt to force the passage of the Land Reforms Bill, he will reveal the names of real characters behind the it.
He said the the proposed land reforms Bill is a conspiracy against the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and it will not be allowed to get passed under any circumstances. Liars, hypocrites, and cheaters have been imposed on Gilgit-Baltistan, said Amjad advocate.
The opposition leader said the people are subjected to worst sort of load shedding and other pressing issues. However, Khalid Khurshid has come on a visit to G-B with two fugitives. He will soon escape from G-B after completing his three to four day visit.
He said if the provincial government is serious about doing land reforms, it should pass the bill PPP had presented in 2016.In that case, the opposition will also give full credit to the provincial government, he further added.
According to the opposition leader G-B land reforms 2016 has signatures of members of all parties including the nationalist leader Nawaz Khan Naji.
He said that a person has been imposed on Gilgit-Baltistan who knows nothing but lies. Khalid Khurshid and some self-interested people are getting their interests under the guise of Tehreek-e-Insaf’s ideology.
In the press conference, member Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Ghulam Shahzad Agha said that the G-B government has failed to solve the problems of the people.
If the government wants to introduce land reforms, the right to ownership bill submitted by the People’s Party should be approved, said Agha.
Senior Vice President Pakistan People’s Party G-B and former Deputy Speaker Jameel Ahmad said G-B government has practically ended in Gilgit-Baltistan.
People’s Party Women’s Wing President Kulsoom Mehdi Mirbaz Khatran Nasir Mir and other leaders of the People’s Party were also present in the press conference.
