Ministerial Delegation from G-B Explores Skill Development Initiatives at National Skills University, Islamabad

Education Minister Gilgit-Baltistan is receiving a souvenir from Vice Chancellor National Skills University Islamabad

Islamabad (PR): A ministerial delegation led by Minister Education Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), Ghulam Shahzad Agha visited National Skills University Islamabad on Saturday.

The delegation included Minister Social Welfare and Women Rights G-B Dilshad Bano and Secretary School Education Zameer Abbas.

Vice Chancellor National Skills University Islamabad Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar welcomed the Education Minister G-B and his team. He gave a detailed briefing regarding various technical programs underway in the university.

The Minister of Education Gilgit-Baltistan appreciated the National Skills University for its role in skill development in youth via diverse vocational training initiatives.

Ghullam Shehzad Agha is being briefed about different skill development courses initiated at National Skills University Islamabad

He invited the Skills University Islamabad to initiate hospitality development, mobile repairing, solar energy skills and other skill development courses in Gilgit-Baltistan so that the goals of sustainable development can be achieved quickly by increasing the technical capabilities of the youth.

While speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar said the National Skills University is actively fostering collaborations with various educational institutions across the country in the realm of technical education.

He further said that, subject to authorization from the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and Higher Education Commission, the university can play its role in introducing technical training courses across educational institutions in G-B.

The Education Minister G-B expressed his will to request the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, as well as the HEC to grant permission for the National Skills University to commence skill development courses in Gilgit-Baltistan too.
