Gilgit (C.R. Akbar Shah): The people of Gojal have shown their concern about the likely transfer of an underconstruction basic health center from Shimshal valley to another area.
Talking to Ibex Times, Asif Sakhi, a renowned political activist from Gojal said the transfer of the health center to another area is unacceptable. The valley is already deprived of basic health facilities with no doctor willing to serve in the remote valley. In such a case, the transfer of the center would be an utter injustice to the villagers.
Due to the absence of health facilities, the people of Shimshal come to Hunza or Gilgit city even for a minor health issues. This causes time and economic loss with casualties on the way.
A strong public agitation would be started across Gojal government attempted to transfer the scheme of the health center to an area outside Shimshal valley, said Sakhi.
