Gilgit (Correspondent): A tragic accident on the Gilgit-Skardu road killed four 4 members of the same family and 1 seriously after being hit by boulders in a landslide.
According to SSP Skardu, the accident took place in the Shengas area on Gilgit-Skardu road.
According to Rescue 1122, four people, including three women and a child, died on the spot while a boy was injured. The injured were rescued and shifted to a safe place by the rescue team.
The ill-fated family is said to be from the Astore district of Gilgit-Baltistan who were going to Gilgit from Skardu.
The Skardu highway has been closed to all types of traffic due to blockage at four different places on the Gilgit-Skardu road due to landslides.
