Gilgit (C.R. Akbar Shah): Gilgit-Baltistan’s Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed and provincial ministers met their party chairman Imran Khan in Peshawar on Saturday.
According to sources privy to the meeting, PTI Chief Imran Khan assured the participant ministers to monitor the provincial matters and address the reservations of disgruntled party members in a period of one month.
Imran Khan took notice of the divisions among the party members and formation of a forward bloc against Chief Minister GB Khalid Khursheed.
Expressing his displeasure over rifts among the party ministers, Imran Khan advised CM GB to take cabinet members into confidence in his decisions.
According to our sources, the decision about whether Khalid Khursheed continue acting as Chief Minister or not will be decided after a period of one month in July.
During the meeting, harsh words were also exchanged between CM Khalid Khursheed and deposed minister of finance, Javed Manwa.
After the assurance of addressing the reservations of disgruntled ministers, the chances of moving a confidence motion against Chief Minister GB have gone on the back burner for the time being.
On the other hand, the opposition has reaffirmed their will to bring a no-confidence motion against CM GB before this year’s budget announcement.
