Gilgit (PR): KFW German formally awarded the tender for construction of two1.5MW power projects each in Hassanabad and Chilas in Gilgit on Wednesday.
The Project Director KFW, Eng. Muhabat Khan formally awarded the contract to the relevant contractor in a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Gilgit Baltistan.
Both power projects will be constructed with the financial and technical support of KFW German.
It is pertinent to note that both projects are expected to be completed within a period of one year.
With completion of these projects, it is expected that Hunza district will witness a drastic improvement in the power supply. district.
