Gilgit (PR) : The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Youth Affairs and Commerce, Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) was briefed about Interest Free Loans and different initiatives undertaken for development of youth in the region on Thursday.
The briefing was given by the Secretary of Social Welfare and Youth Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, Fida Hussain on Zabiullah’s visit to the Social Welfare and Youth Affairs Complex in Gilgit.
While giving briefing, Secretary Social Welfare and Youth Affairs informed about youth-focused initiatives aimed at their well-being including self-employment schemes and strategies for their long-term sustainability.
The Special Assistant to the CM also received a briefing from the Regional Head Akhuwat regarding the provision of interest-free loan in Gilgit-Baltistan. On the occasion, a check of PKR 30.74 million was presented to the Regional Head of Akhuwat.
Assistant to CM Zabihullah and Secretary Social Welfare and Youth Affairs, Fida Hussain, toured the newly constructed Youth Affairs building and the Gilgit Support Complex. Fida Hussain provided a detailed Overview of the newly constructed complex.
Zabihullah stressed the importance of providing interest-free loan based on merit, ensuring accessibility, and implementing effective repayment mechanisms. He directed the department to organize a variety of seminars and programs aimed at enhancing the skills of the youth in the region.
He said G-B Government’s top priority is to empower the youth. The government will take serious steps to address the complex issues of youth and they will introduce modern programs to empower the youth.
He affirmed that the G-B government’s top priority is the empowerment of the youth, thus significant measures will be taken to tackle the complex issue they face. Government of Gilgit-Baltistan would extend all possible support to the youth, further added Zabiullah.
Expressing his appreciation for the Youth Affairs department, he said the initiatives undertaken by the department for development of youth are commendable.
