Gilgit (PR): Information Minister, Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Fatehullah Khan has said the latest joint press conference of the opposition leader Amjad advocate and company is nothing but a denial of facts to mislead people.
Fatehullah Khan said the provincial government is taking serious steps regarding land reforms. The GB Land Reforms Bill will be passed only after mutual consultation with the members of the assembly, civil society and other stakeholders.
In our reign, your will not prevail Mr. Amjad advocate, said the information minister while responding to the opposition leader’s demand for the implementation of land reforms proposed by the Pakistan People’s Party in the past.
He said Amjad Advocate has never not talked about genuine public issues. He never raises voice at policy level. He just starts shouting where his personal interests comes in.
The information minister suggested Amjad advocate to give his legal advice on land reforms. However, he should avoid doing dirty politics to mislead people. Thus, instead of becoming Sultan Rahi, do realistic and people friendly politics.
He further said that a two-day conference was held for the first time in the history of the region regarding land reforms. This is a proof of our seriousness.
In response to a question, the provincial minister said the recent issue of wheat subsidy was resolved by the tireless efforts of the provincial government. Amjad Advocate had zero role in it. Just because of PPP being part of federal government, Amjad is desperately trying to take credit for any thing accomplished by GB government.
