Gilgit (C.R Akbar Shah): According to reliable sources, orders have been issued to recover money from the employees of grade 1-19 who have benefitted from Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
Orders have been given to submit the money into the national treasury that would be recovered from the beneficiary employees.
According to the sources, 4495 employees of Gilgit-Baltistan have benefited from BISP.
It is pertinent to note that the BISP is a program exclusively for deserving families. However, a considerable number of government employees were receiving money for many years from BISP thus depriving the deserving poor.
It has been demanded by different quarters and sections of society to recover the money from government employees.
It is in this regard that orders have been formally issued to recover the money from these employees and deposit immediately in the national treasury.
