Gilgit (PR): A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Peace was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Haji Gulbar Khan on Monday in Gilgit city.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said all necessary measures would be taken for durable peace in Gilgit-Baltistan. The forum of the Parliamentary Peace Committee is highly effective, responsible, and empowered, said the CM G-B
He said the Parliamentary Peace Committee would visit Skardu and Diamer to promote the atmosphere of brotherhood in Gilgit-Baltistan, reduce tension and meet with all stakeholders including Ulama. The committee will make actionable suggestions/recommendations for implementation of the action plan created because of these meetings.
The Chief Minister said G-B government will establish its writ and no one will be allowed to challenge it.
It was resolved in the meeting that all the members of the Parliamentary Peace Committee will play their role for the establishment of durable peace in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He further said that the development of any society depends on the establishment of peace. Those who conspire to spread incitement and religious hatred in the society do not want G-B to develop.
He further added the provincial government would not allow any conspiracy against Gilgit-Baltistan to succeed.
It was also decided in the meeting that all the members of the Parliamentary Peace Committee will play their role for the establishment of ideal and permanent peace in Gilgit-Baltistan. will be implemented.
