Gilgit (PR): In a statement issued to the media on Thursday, the deputy speaker Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Assembly, Sadia Danish, has congratulated the people of Pakistan on the Independence Day to be commemorated tomorrow August 14.
The deputy speaker has stated that August 14 is a testament to the steadfast determination and sacrifices of our ancestors who struggled for the creation of a free and independent nation in 1947.
She has further said we celebrate this significant occasion, we honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Their selfless acts of sacrifice will forever be remembered in our collective memory.
The Deputy Speaker has urged the young generation to cherish and safeguard this invaluable gift of freedom. Only those who have experienced the chains of oppression can truly understand its worth, further added Sadia Danish
She called for vigilance and determination in defending the sovereignty and independence of our nation.
