Gilgit (PR): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), Haji Gulbar Khan, administered the oath to the newly elected cabinet of the Gilgit-Baltistan News Society (GBNS) on Friday in Gilgit city.
While talking to media on the occasion, the Chief Minister G-B emphasized the pivotal role being played by the media in fostering peace and development in the region.
He highlighted how the local media, much like scholars, responsible people, and various sections of society, has consistently contributed to maintaining peace and order in the region, deserving appreciation and recognition.
The Chief Minister Haji Gulbar underscored that it is the collective responsibility to contribute to enhancement of the overall atmosphere of G-B.
He said peace is a fundamental prerequisite for the development of any society, and those who engage in conspiracies to incite unrest and religious hatred are, in fact, enemies of the development of Gilgit-Baltistan.
CM Haji Gulbar Khan assured that a committee would be set up to review and address the proposals put forth by GBNS, working towards their resolution.
