Foreign Office should respond to India’s plan to hold G-20 countries conference in Kashmir, says CM G-B

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid is doing a press conference in Islamabad on Kashmir

Gilgit (Representative): Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid, while holding a press conference along with the provincial ministers condemned India’s attempt to holding a G-20 countries conference in Kashmir.

CM Khalid Khurshid expressing his disappointment said friendly states of Pakistan are also unfortunately participating in the conference.

Occupied Kashmir is a disputed region which is yet to be decided. Nevertheless, India has planned to hold an international conference in occupied Kashmir.

He said we do not have any objection on India holding a conference wherever it wants in its territory. Contrary to it, Indian has been expressing its objection when ever any foreign investor comes to Gilgit-Baltistan. He asked, ”How could India hold a seminar in the disputed region in its control.

He asked the foreign office should wake up from deep sleep. He also asked foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to take a position on it. Bilawal should stop his foreign visits to focus on Kashmir.

Chief minister further said government has issued a letter to the Foreign Office on this. It is only after this complaint that the the Foreign Office has given its statement today.

He said that India has made Srinagar and Occupied Kashmir the biggest prison in the world. Today, Kashmiris are looking towards Pakistan. We made sacrifices to free Gilgit-Baltistan from the Maharaja’s rule.

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid said that serious violations of human rights are taking place in Pakistan today. Zul Shah was killed, FIRs are being filed here after the arrests which is illegal.
