Gilgit (Court reporter): The Gilgit-Baltistan Bar Council presented to the court the documents submitted by Chief Minister G-B documents for legal practice to the court in the alleged fake degree case of G-B Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan.
It should be noted that Abdul Hamid’s counsel Amjad Hussain had filed a separate application in the court requesting the G-B Bar Council present the records of the documents submitted by Khalid Khurshid for obtaining the license of legal practice.
The court had given notice to the bar council to present any documents submitted by Khalid Khurshid in the bar on the application of Amjad Hussain Advocate.
During the hearing, the counsel for G-B Election Commission Muneer Ahmed Advocate sought time from the court to file a reply to the miscellaneous application to make the documents part of the petition on behalf of Khalid Khurshid Khan.
The court accepted the request of the lawyer of the Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan and adjourned the case to May 11 for arguments on speed.
The case was heard by a two-member bench headed by Justice G-B Chief Court, Justice Malik Inayat-ur-Rehman and Justice Johar Ali Khan.
Chief Minister’s documents submitted to the bar for obtaining lawyer’s license were presented to the court by the Vice-Chairman Bar Council Advocate Khurshid Al-Hasan.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan’s lawyer, including Aurangzeb Advocate, did not present any objection or excuse during the hearing.
