Shikyote Valley Schools Deemed Unsatisfactory by Chief Secretary G-B

Gilgit (PR): In a visit to Shikyote Valley of Gilgit district, chief secretary took notice of the inadequate educational facilities and resources at Government Girls Middle School and Government Boys High School Shikyote.

Taking immediate notice, the chief secretary directed the concerned authorities to address the shortage of teachers at both school on immediate basis.

The chief secretary G-B expressed his displeasure over poor maintenance of school infrastructure and issued directives to enhance the quality of classrooms, sanitation system, computer labs, libraries, and the overall physical surroundings the schools.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan said providing quality education and improving the school system is the foremost priority of the G-B government. Investing in the education sector is crucial for the laying foundation of a brighter future for both country and its citizens, further added the chief secretary G-B.

He said, “shortage of teacher will be met in the schools by appointing Education Fellows very soon. Furthermore, efforts are underway to reform the education system to effectively tackle future challenges, and promising outcomes will be visible soon”.

On this occasion, the notables of Shikyote Valley expressed their satisfaction over the education-friendly initiatives of Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan. They affirmed their commitment to actively participate in the promotion of education.
