Hunza (Correspondent): Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani assures his full support in promoting IT education in Hunza during his visit to Digital Hub, Study and Culture Center, and Hasegawa Memorial Public School and College in Hyderabad Hunza on Saturday.
He was received by the parliamentary secretary for forests Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Dilshad Bano who belongs to the same valley Hyderabad Hunza.
On the arrival of the Chief Secretary, school children of Hasegawa Public School and College presented him with a bouquet of flowers thus giving a warm welcome.
During his visit, the chief secretary said Digital Hub Hunza is an important milestone in the development of Gilgit-Baltistan in modern technology.
He said Digital Hub Hunza is equipped with modern facilities including high-speed internet, co-working space, and, advanced audio-visual equipment. From such initiatives, a bright future for the educated youth of the Hunza district of G-B is visible, added the chief secretary.
Chief secretary G-B also visited Study and Culture Center Hyderabad Hunza. Director of IT Study and Culture Center (IT-SCC) Nauman Karim gave a briefing to the chief secretary regarding the IT center
On this occasion, the chief secretary assured to take the required steps to support the IT center in overcoming the problems it faces.
Chief secretary G-B also assured to extend all possible cooperation in overcoming the problems the people of Hunza face related to education.
On this occasion, the women demanded the chief secretary provide an extra bus as part of the Pink Bus Service on which the chief secretary promised to look into the matter and do what was possible to provide better transport facilities to women.
