Chief Minister G-B Accuses India of Propaganda, Reiterates Commitment to Peace and Unity

Gilgit (PR): Talking to media persons in Gilgit city on Monday, the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Haji Gulbar Khan said India is trying to exploit the current situation of G-B through propaganda based on lies and hypocrisy.

He said operation of international flights to and from Skardu would prove to be the key to the economic revolution as it would promote tourism in G-B. However, with the first international flight landed in Skardu last month, India has started using nefarious tactics to create instability.

He said the India and its media have been attempting, without success, to exploit any peaceful demonstrations in Gilgit-Baltistan against Pakistan. In Indian Occupied Kashmir, the hoisting of Pakistan’s flag in homes continues even today, while in Gilgit-Baltistan, not a single person has been found to speak against Pakistan or in favor of India, said the Chief Minister G-B.

Haji Gulbar Khan further said that the people of G-B are united holding the flag of love for the Pakistan which will continue to respond to any machinations and conspiracies hatched by India, said the Chief Minister G-B.

He further said the G-B government, in collaboration with the law enforcement agencies, has implemented measures to maintain law and order conditions. These actions have resulted in peaceful protests without resulting in any sort of violence, serving as clear proof of the defeat of the enemy forces.

He said renown scholars from Pakistan have reached Gilgit to contribute towards resolving the current situation in Gilgit-Baltistan through mutual understanding.

He stressed that the government’s foremost duty is to ensure the peace and security of people’s lives and property. If despite the sincere endeavors of the Parliamentary Peace Committee and religious scholars, any efforts are made to disrupt the prevailing peace and order, the government would give a robust response.
