Nagar (PR): Chief Justice Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court Justice Ali Baig along with Registrar Chief Court Ghulam Abbas Chopa laid the foundation stone of District Judicial Complex Nagar.
Speaking to the lawyers on the occasion, he said that the courts of Gilgit-Baltistan are independent and they believe in an independent judiciary.
He said the provision of cheap and speedy justice to people at their doorsteps is the prime responsibility of the courts.
Chief justice said he himself will be monitoring the construction and completion of the approved projects for the judiciary in Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure timely completion as per the standards.
The chief justice ordered the public works department Nagar to construct washrooms including bar rooms in the court premises for lawyers and a waiting room for the public.
He further said that work is going on to complete the projects under construction of the Judiciary at the Gilgit-Baltistan level within the approved budget in view of current economic conditions of Pakistan.
Earlier Chief Justice Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court Justice Ali Beg was welcomed by District and Sessions Judge Sohail Ahmad, President District Baru Cabinet, Deputy Commissioner Waqas Johar, Assistant Commissioner, SP Nagar, Executive Engineer Construction Nagar.
