Gilgit (C.R. Akbar Shah): Former Chief Minister, Gilgit-Baltistan, Hafiz Hafiz-ur-Rahman has stated CM Khalid Khursheed’s press conference over budget is nothing but a bunch of lies. The CM feeling uncomfortable sitting with his own cabinet members was doing a press conference with the two renowned liars.
He has stated the office of the Chief Minister is sacred which demands a sitting Chief Minister to speak the truth rather than resort to lies and baseless cries.
A 50% cut in the budget is not true. Currently, GB gets the same amount of funds that were allocated during Imran Khan’s time. The deduction was made during Imran Khan’s time. Similarly, the PSDP projects were also delayed during the Niazi government.
Nawaz Sharif increased the region’s budget from Rs. 7 billion to Rs. 21 billion. However, soon after coming to power, Imran Khan made a more than 50% cut in the allocated budget. He said the CM GB does not have any idea about the budget and its use.
The major chunk of the fund received from the federation is to meet the expenses of an army of coordinators and other frivolities. He said reported, that CM GB has been using public money to supply wheat and mutton to Banigala.
He asked Khalid Khursheed where did you use Rs.11 billion since he assumed power as CM. Why don’t you tell people that the PTI government in Islamabad deducted Rs. 14 billion from GB’s budget. Why don’t you tell me that the GB government is getting the amount which was given during Imran Khan’s time? Where did you spend Rs. 30 crores sanctioned to meet the expenses in connection with GBLA.
He said despite the recruitment of thousands of people, Khalid Khursheed blatantly says there was no single recruitment in the police department.
