Gilgit (PR): In a statement issued to the media on Monday, the leader of Pakistan People’s Party and member Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Assembly Ghulam Shahzad Agha has said that after the approving the increase in wheat price, talking about the all-party conference is just an act of hoodwinking the people.
He has said that wheat is being sold according to the new prices approved by the CM for the last week. The new prices have been implemented already with the approval or the cabinet and its allies.
He has further said that Khalid Khurshid and his cabinet did not consult the stakeholders and political parties before approving the new prices of wheat. However, now they are trying to put all blame on the stakeholders by calling an all-Parties Conference.
The recent hike in wheat price amidst increasing inflation and unemployment is an act of subjecting the subjugated people to hunger, said the statement.
