Chilas (Representative): The chief secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan Mohyuddin Wani inaugurated the Nursing College and Technical Training Center in Chilas on Wednesday.
Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan was briefed by the district administration regarding the establishment of both institutions.
The officials participating in the event included General Manager Diamar Bhasha Dam Nazakat Hussain, Commissioner Diamar Astor Division Iltamish Janjua, Deputy Commissioner Diamar Fayaz Ahmed along with WAPDA, Health Department, and GBRSP officials.
It should be noted that priority is being given to technical and nursing training along with education in Diamar with the support of WAPDA. Technical training in mason, tiles fixer, steel fixer, shuttering carpenter, scaffold folding and carpeting will soon.
Meanwhile, nursing courses will also start in the building of the Model Colony Mother and Child Center with the support of the Health Department, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Buildings for the -nursing college and technical training center have been given to district administration by WAPDA at Chilas Harpandas Model Colony.
