Gilgit (Correspondent): While talking to the media in Gilgit city, the former deputy speaker Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) assembly Jafarullah Khan said the current PTI government in G-B has failed to deliver.
Jafarullah also criticized the opposition leader Amjad Advocate G-B assembly and his team for acting as mere spectators over the government’s inability to perform.
He said it has become important to get rid of the current government in G-B either through the vote of no confidence or conducting elections simultaneously with polls for the federal government. Any delay in sending the current government home would lead to the destruction of the whole G-B, said the former deputy speaker G-B assembly.
Jafarullah said that the socio-economic condition of Gilgit-Baltistan is deteriorating day by day. People do not have access to clean drinking water and flour. Similarly, the absence of electricity and power load shedding has made people’s lives miserable.
He said Shams ul Haq Lone is a dacoit. Nevetheless, the incompetent chief minister made him the interior advisor G-B. The selected government has completely turned Gilgit-Baltistan into ruins, further added Jafarullah.
He further said PML-N government completed development work worth billions of rupees in G-B under the leadership of Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman. Ministers of Tehreek-e-Insaf should come for a debate if they claim to have done any work in the last three years, challenged Jafarullah during the talk.
The former Deputy Speaker G-B Assembly further said that Khalid Khurshid instead of solving the problems of people with his physical presence in G-B is busy guarding Imran Khan at Zaman Park. The chief minister also used the G-B police against the Punjab police. Punjab police has registered FIR against Khalid Khurshid. He can be arrested at any time further added Jafarullah.
Jafarrullah said Khalid Khurshid did not meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif when he was visiting Gilgit-Baltistan last year. The common people of G-B are suffering the consequences of this un-political and irresponsible attitude of the current chief minister G-B.
