Chief secretary G-B visits under construction Women development Center in Ghizer

Chief secretary G-B is being briefed about the under construction Women Development Center in Ghizer district.

 Gilgit (P-R): Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani visited the under-construction Women Development Center in Ghazer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.

 On his visit to the site, he said the purpose of establishing this development center is to provide business and skills training to women of all ages from different walks of life in the Ghizer district.

The training and skill education the center will provide includes training related to e-marketing, hospitality management , supervisory skills in women-led enterprises and productive use of of e-technology, etc.

The Women Development Center, Ghizer will also provide interest-free loans to women through Akhut Microfinance, said chief secretary G-B while speaking at the occasion.

Chief Secretary G-B further said that the provincial government is paying special attention to modern education along with many other important projects in the region. Making women of Gilgit-Baltistan independent and improving their business skills is among tops priorities of the government.

Addressing in the occasion, he said the establishment of the women development center will provide a platform to the female folks of Ghizer district where they will get an opportunity to develop their business potential.

The administration will provide an an enabling environment for women to come and learn without any hesitation, said CS G-B.

He further said the women who will get skill training and experience from the women development center can use the skills and experience they have acquired to start their own businesses. The provincial government will provide required financial support in cooperation with private sector partners.

 He expressed his hope that this initiative of women development will be very beneficial and helpful for the women of Ghizer to prosper and play their due role in their individua, family and collective fulfilment.
