Islamabad (PR): Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) Nazir Ahmed Advocate met with Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) Mohammad Shehryar Sultan in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Speaker GB assembly discussed the under-construction Gilgit-Shandur Road section of Gilgit-Chitral Expressway. He emphasized completion of the project within the stipulated time ensuring quality of the work.
During the meeting, the chairman NHA said that he has taken a detailed briefing on the project and is aware of the work being done on the project. He further said that there will be no compromise on the quality of the work. Compromise with quality would not happen as the project is of national importance and important for the entire economy of Pakistan, further added the chairman NHA.
The chairman NHA further said that NHA is working on projects on priority basis to promote tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan. Chairman NHA also informed the Speaker Assembly about the progress on Thakot-Raikot section.
