Passenger coaster plunges into a deep ravine killing three on KKH

Gilgit (Correspondent): A road accident on KKH on Sunday left 3 people dead and 14 injured as a passenger coaster fell into a deep ravine.

 According to the details, the passenger coaster number LES 8010 bound for Skardu from Rawalpindi met with an accident at Huder Mor in Chilas.

The accident occurred due to speeding and overloading. The coaster went out of control while taking a curve and plunged into a deep ravine, killing three passengers and injuring 14 people.

The injured were shifted to RHQ Hospital Chilas where they are undergoing treatment. The dead and injured passengers in the passenger coaster were rescued by the people of Chilas and taken to the hospital.

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan and provincial ministers expressed their sorrow and prayed for the bereavement of the deceased.

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid has ordered the administration, health department, and rescue 1122 to take all possible measures to help the injured and transfer the dead bodies.

The CM has also directed the health department to provide the best possible treatment for the injured people in the accident.
