Danyor police sits with area notables regarding implementation of ban on aerial firing on chandrat

Gilgit (PR): Superintendent District Police Officer (SDPO) Danyor Circle held a meeting with the police liaison committee members of the Danyor sub-division at Danyor police station.

Implementation of ban aerial firing on chandrat, smuggling and other matters related to protection of life and property of people came under discussion in the meeting.

While speaking in the meeting, the SDPO said that aerial firing is legally banned. Those involved in it will be strictly dealt with.

Members of the Police Liaison Committee Danyor and notables of the area attended the meeting. They assured the SDPO of their full support and cooperation in dealing with anything posing risk to life and property on chandrat and the Eid days.

The meeting was held in light of the instructions issued by the Inspector General Police (IGP) Gilgit-Baltistan Dar Ali Khan Khatak and SSP Gilgit district.

It is pertinent to note that the aerial firing on chandrat in Gilgit city has been a common practice that has claimed many precious lives.

To implement the ban the practice of aerial firing, the administration has issued directions to deal the violaters with an iron hand.
