Gilgit (PR) During a routine night-time patrol, the Gilgit police under the supervision of SHO Police Station Basin Waliullah, has arrested an individual for the unlawful possession of weapons.
The arrest was made by the Ibex Squad of Gilgit Police as it intercepted a vehicle bound for the Ghizer district from Gilgit city at Basin Police Station.
While inspecting the vehicle, the police discovered a 7mm rifle along with 3 rounds of ammunition in the possession of the individual identified as Haider Khan, son of Shamshir Khan.
The individual in question primarily hails from Hudur, Diamar District; however, his current residence is in Jagir Bassin.
The police seized the recovered items and registered a case with reference number 88/23 against the accused under the Arms Ordinance 13AO. Further investigation is underway from the accused.
