Gilgit (Police Sources): Traffic police in Gilgit takes action on Wednesday against hundreds of violators of traffic rules including the un-helmeted and underage bikers.
Traffic police are religiously taking action against traffic rules violators across Gilgit-Baltistan as per the instructions of the inspector general police Gilgit-Baltistan Dar Ali Khattak.
The stated aim of this drive is to ensure the prevention of traffic accidents and the protection of precious human lives.
Gilgit Police issued challans to more than 155 people who violated traffic rules among which 155 were un-helmeted and 12 underage bikers.
Moreover, the police also removed black glasses and non-standard number plates from dozens of
vehicles.
