Gilgit (Crime reporter): Gilgit police say two suspects wanted in connection with murder of a woman last month in Jutial area of Gilgit city have been arrested.
In a press conference on Friday, ASP Meraj and SDPO Hameed, along with the SHO of Jutial police station said that on Dec 22, 2002, a robbery took place at the house of a person named Rustam Baig in Jutial Noor colony. During the incident, the wife of Rustam Baigh was killed on resistance by the unknown suspects.
A case of the incident was registered in the Jutial police station. Police started investigating the case from different angles and arrested two suspects.
One of the accused, Kamran Hussain, is a habitual criminal and convicted of a number of crimes. Both accused are in police remand and efforts are on to get the remaining evidence of murder.
