Gilgit (PR): Home Department Gilgit-Baltistan has refuted
In a statement released by the Home Department of Gilgit-Baltistan, it has been stated that the situation in Gilgit-Baltistan is peaceful and the news circulating in the media regarding the deployment of Pakistan Army are baseless.
The statement said normalcy prevails in Gilgit-Baltistan, with communication routes, trade hubs, business establishments, and educational facilities all operating as usual without disruption.
According to the statement, the services of Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces have been procured to maintain peace and order at Chehlam Imam Hussain, along with this, special measures have been taken for the security of procession routes and Imambargahs like in the past.
It has been further stated by the Home Department that Section 144 has been enforced across the province to maintain the law-and-order situation, protect the life and property of the people, and avoid any untoward incident.
